Nana Abena Konadu

“I want you to walk into the finished room and have that little wait…is this really the same place? moment. That’s probably my favorite part of what I do.”

It actually started with one bedroom. Back in 2020, I designed a friend’s bedroom just because I was obsessed with interior design and decor, and I thought I could make his room look better. Then someone else asked me to do theirs. Then someone else. Somewhere along the way, it became Spaces by Konadu, and six years later, I’m designing entire homes, the occasional office, and somehow still finding things in my clients’ homes that I need them to get rid of. I love a good transformation. I want you to walk into the finished room and have that little wait…is this really the same place? moment. That’s probably my favourite part of what I do. I’m also not interested in creating spaces you’ve already seen a hundred times. I want there to be something that makes you look twice. Something a little unexpected. Something your guests ask about. And most importantly, something that feels like you live there, not like I do. So yes, I’ll listen to what you want. I’ll work with what you love. I’ll probably convince you to try something you weren’t completely sure about. And I will absolutely tell you when that flooring has to go. But at the end of it all, I just want to create a space you’re genuinely excited to come back to.

What We Believe

We make your home feel like you’ve got really good taste, without making it feel like a showroom.

  • The smallest details can change everything.
  • Comfort is always part of the brief.
  • Trends come and go. Good taste evolves.
  • There’s always room for a little magic.
They understood our home before we did.
